Family, we have been listening to the teachings of respected elders (like Tariq Nasheed) and others heavily involved in Black Empowerment and understanding white supremacy.  Since the start of the Trump Administration, we have all witnessed more of the overt white supremacy; however, we should all be aware that covert white supremacy is still increasing and being practiced at an all-time high. These practices have been illustrated through policy on both the local and national level, as well as attacks on prominent members of the Melanoid community such as Zach Randolph of the Sacramento Kings. Brother Randolph was maliciously charged with intent to sell marijuana based on the “I’m white and I say so” law governing the new Jim Crow 2.0 in the continued war on Melanoid People. This is a show by white supremacy and main stream media news outlets to make the charges more severe and costly for him to fight. The latest attack on Melanoid sports players such as Zach Randolph, Colin Kaepernick, and LeBron James further prove that socioeconomic status, having money, or fame does NOT exempt you from systemic white supremacy. Check out this powerful diagram below outlining some major actions in what you can expect during this current climate of mixed overt and covert white supremacy and the attack on Melanoid people. Historically, there have been four major battles of this Race War under the system of white supremacy in the United States, starting in 1625 with the first recorded inception of chattel slavery orchestrated as a genocide attack on African people, kidnapped and forced into enslavement by people today commonly called white people. Our battles and fights (as explained in depth by Dr. Umar Johnson) have included:

1. Humanity-Battle Phase 1 where Melanoid people fought to get non-melanoid people to understand we are human. We are not property to be bought, sold, traded, or inherited for their demonic purposes.
2. Liberty-Battle Phase 2 where Melanoid people fought for freedom from slavery
3. Equality-Battle Phase 3 where Melanoid people fought for the end of Jim Crow 1.0, desegregation, and items that non-melanoid people lumped into a term called “Civil Rights” that includes basic human rights.
4. Survival- Battle Phase 4 where Melanoid people currently fight for survival against genocide through the attacks of both overt and covert white supremacy.

Family, while the phases of the battle can be overlapping and ongoing, our current phase of Survival is the most critical fight that we have ever encountered. The purpose of this article series to is help us with Battle Phase 4.

To better understand this series, I am asking all persons interesting in helping with special emphasis on all Melanoid people to engage this article series. Learn from the articles, but also bring something to the articles. Provide feedback and engage the topics.

I have provided you with the basic background and relevance. To prepare for future articles and survival for our families and communities, we are making a few requests. “Stop marching! Unless you are marching to the nearest Black Owned Business and balling out!” in the words of Professor Kaba Hiawatha Kamene. I will request one march from you in all seriousness: March to a Black Owned bookstore and purchase the following:

These materials will enlighten you and encourage you as we progress through the solutions for survival during these trying times. As seen in Table 2 below, we have come a long way, yet we have so far to go. We can make it, we will make! We have seen that the system of justice and the system of white supremacy cannot co-exist. We will not stop until we have created a system of justice in the United States and beyond. All Melanoid people across the world will benefit from this new system.

A relatively unknown Canadian internet troll of East Indian descent named Annand Virk, who trolls under the moniker Bunty King, was banned from Twitter this week.

Virk who acts as a mascot for white supremacists groups, tries to build his online reputation by harassing Black people on twitter while defending white supremacy. This tactic is usually an attempt to gain clicks and support from online racists.

It’s very common for white supremacists to get a non-white collaboration to spew their ideology so that they can shield themselves from claims of racism.

It’s been a long part of East Indian culture to collaborate with white supremacists against African people. Historically, one of the world’s first skin tone caste systems originated in India. When the British colonized India, that caste system became more embedded into the national psyche of India.

People like Mahatma Gandhi was a blatant racist who displayed vitriol against Black people, and his anti-Black views are very well documented.

In modern times, there are white supremacist think tanks that prop up East Indian collaborators like Dinesh D’Souza who built a career writing books that justify anti-Black racism.

Virk is part of a growing crowd of non-white YouTube trolls who set up donation pages to receive payments from white supremacists for regurgitating racist talking points. After “Bunty King” was suspended from twitter for his racial harassment of Black twitter users, several of his anti-Black supporters tried to come to his rescue.

One in particular was one of Virk’s fellow Asian supporters of white supremacy, a writer named Ian Miles Cheong. Cheong, who was allegedly exposed as being a nazi supporter, despite the fact that he is non-white, is part of a growing segment of Asians who collaborate with Alt-Right members and other white supremacist groups.

Ian Miles Cheong wrote an article supporting the racial antagonism of Annand Virk on the suspected white supremacist website Heat Street. The Heat Street website is flooded with dozens of anti-Black articles (usually under the ruse of referring to Black people as “Black Lives Matter”, so that the criticism will appear to be political instead of racial). Heat Street had to even issue an apology at one point for Ian Miles Cheong writing an article defending white supremacy.

With all of the anti-Black racial terrorism happening in our society, we cannot take these racial antagonists and white supremacy collaborators lightly. And we should stay on alert whenever we encounter these people who try to hide their agenda behind trolling behavior. Because that is usually a deflection tactic to get victims of white supremacy to dismiss them.

What do the new presidential administration, violent race soldiers, gentrification, slavery, systematic discrimination in every industry imaginable, and unnecessary infighting among Melanoid people (to name just a few things) all have in common?

There is no particular one-worded answer to that question, but what’s for certain is that the lingering effects of these things are enough to make anyone go insane, let alone the people who suffer from them the worst–and longest. A case can be made for therapy being a key factor in the reversal of Black people’s 400+ year plight. While the dominant society readily acknowledges war veterans’ battles with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Black Society have been unofficially diagnosed with the same thing.

In fact, the psychological damage that Melanoid people have carried for centuries can be scientifically verified. Research has revealed that the Ancestors took on such an overwhelming amount of trauma, that much of it has been carried on down to ensuing generations, as shown in the video below.

One of the byproducts of our collective PTSD is the very stigma that surrounds seeking out counseling. For years, getting therapy was viewed as a sign of weakness, or it made us the target of ridicule and jokes from our family and friends. Much of this ridiculous way of thinking has triggered a heightened rate of suicides among Melanoid people–mainly our youth. There is, however, a changing outlook on our need for better mental health.

Perhaps the greatest trauma victims in history, Melanoid people in this country are unsurprisingly far behind in contrast to other racial groups when it comes to many categories, but in order for true progress to be made, the mind has to be sound first and foremost. If and when reparations are finally given to Black people, therapy and/or counseling should be a complimentary service included in the reparations package, as a means of working to deprogram and rebuild the minds and spirits of countless Black souls who are suffering in silence.

At 26-years old Brandon Copeland is changing the way black people practice and interact with yoga.

Copeland is owner of Khepera Wellness in Washington D.C. He opened the studio because he felt “the essence of black culture was being excluded from majority-white yoga spaces in the area” according to Fader.

Copeland runs the business with his girlfriend, Lauren Turner. He says he turned to yoga after his girlfriend became pregnant while he was at Howard University in 2010.

In 2013 he opened his own yoga space where he came up with the idea of Trap Yoga.

Trap Yoga is a course according to Copeland that is intended to both challenge the limits of one’s physicality and speak to the black community’s inherent spirituality.

Over trap beats Copeland challenges his students to find their inner peace.

“A lot of people like to attribute things to yoga that it does not call for always. They want you to think that you need to listen to like ocean sounds, and wear all white, or be vegan in order to really do yoga or to be a part of what’s called “the lifestyle.” That lifestyle is really not reflective of what the practice is about. The practice is: You can be on death row, you can be an old grandma, as long as you’re breathing and joined the practice in order to meditate, you should be healed. It’s not really about a lot of the things I think that we, instinctively or purposely, advertise about yoga.”

“Until someone comes in and creates spaces that are specifically focused on black people or people of color, they won’t necessarily feel and experience the community to the fullest extent,” Copeland went on to say.

The people of Flint Michigan are being short changed yet again. It was announced February 9, 2017 that state funding subsidies which helped Flint’s residents pay their water bills caused by the infamous ‘The Flint Water Crisis’ would end February 28, 2017.

In April 2014, water in Flint became contaminated when the city switched its supply source and treatment while under the authority of a state appointed emergency manager.

In Michigan, emergency financial mangers answer only to the governor, and are given the authority to make sweeping decisions to turn around financially struggling cities and school districts according to Detroit Free Press.

Switching the water supply was meant as a cost cutting measure after the state of Michigan took over Flint’s finances when an audit projected a $25 million deficit. The switch resulted in a significant increase in lead levels in the water supply.

Without state funded subsidies, the city of Flint will not have enough money to upgrade its water-system infrastructure according to Melissa May, an organizer with Flint Rising, a water activist coalition.

“A senior advisor to Governor Rick Snyder has sent Flint’s Interim Chief Financial Officer, David Sabuda, a letter to inform him the credits currently being applied to the water portion of Flint utility customers’ accounts will no longer be provided after February 28, 2017,” Moore wrote. “State officials note the latest 6-month cycle of water testing that had results below the federal action level for the Lead and Copper Rule (LCR).”

Moore also said after this month the state will no longer provide funding for Flint’s connection to the Great Lakes Water Authority (GLWA), which amounts to about $1.2 million a month.

Flint residents paid the highest water rates in America, even as their water was tainted with lead, according to a national study released in February 2016 by the public interest group Food and Water Watch.

A survey of the 500 largest water systems in the country, conducted last year, found that on average, Flint residents paid about $864 a year for water service, nearly double the national average and about 3½ times as much as Detroiters pay.

No funding subsidies also means less cash available to replace residents’ antiquated lead and galvanized-iron service lines, the pipes that connect from city water mains to the plumbing in older houses and which tests have shown can introduce lead particles into a household’s water, May said. So far, the city has replaced about 700 of the lines, but an additional 20,000 remain to be replaced, May went on to say.

This decision made by Republican Gov. Rick Snyder is an example of callous indifference toward residents of Flint.

The independent panel put together by Gov. Snyder when the crisis drew national attention stated, “Flint residents, who are majority black or African-American and among the most impoverished of any metropolitan area in the United States, did not enjoy the same degree of protection from environmental and health hazards as that provided to other communities,” the report concluded.

And as Laura Sulivan, 54, a city resident and water activist said “The situation we’re in now — all the costs of rebuilding the system, all the costs of health care for people hurt by this — is entirely due to Gov. Snyder appointing these emergency managers who approved sending Flint River water through the city water system.”

“The river water was haphazardly treated prior to distribution, a failure that has been blamed for the leaching of lead particles from inside the city’s aging pipes, allowing lead contamination to poison those who consumed the water,” she added.

According to Snyder the crisis represented a collective failure of local, state and federal governments. So why are the residents of Flint financially responsible for a problem they did not create?

It’s a lung infection, similar to tuberculosis, that is caused by a bacteria found mainly in water but also in soil and in the air. Doctors say the number of patients is growing.

The unlikely victims are white, thin, post-menopausal women who live in affluent neighborhoods around Philadelphia’s Main Line.

A study from the American Thoracic Society and the National Institutes Of Health identified 7 significant clusters of NTM around the country. One of the clusters was found in the greater Philadelphia metropolitan area where significant clusters were identified in Montgomery County.

Doctors say African-Americans and people who are heavy tend to not get NTM even though the bacteria that causes it is everywhere.

So why do only certain people develop the infection? “We don’t know,” says Dr. Leah Lande, a pulmonologist at Lankenau Medical Center. “A lot of people are trying to figure that out now but that’s not really understood right now.”

Ethel Easter, a Black woman who resides in Houston, went recently under the knife because of intestinal issues. Prior to her procedure, Easter decided to place a small audio recording device in her hair to catch anything that her surgeons possibly could have said about her while she was rendered unconscious. Her reasoning for doing this was because of skepticism from the less-than-professional treatment she received during her consultations with her doctor, who demanded the following:

Who do you think you are? You’re gonna wait like everyone else.

Ms. Easter recalled the doctor telling her this in response to her sense of urgency and concern in regards to her wanting to prevent further damage to her internal organs. She was ordered to wait two months, as opposed to a much shorter time frame. What was to take place during her surgery was extremely cruel. The surgeons would make snide remarks about Easters physique, with one of them at one point even referring to her as “Precious” (the movie character portrayed by actress Gabby Sidibe).

Since its inception 130 years ago, Cosmopolitan Magazine has branded itself as a media publication which celebrates the elegant beauty of women. It has always been a publication which prides itself on featuring the best and brightest women that the mainstream dominant society has to offer, which is why the following story should be considered offensive to Melanoid people.

Recently, Cosmopolitan ran a story about a Black female yoga instructor named Jessamyn Stanley, who has billed herself as a “yoga enthusiast and fat femme”. The Durham, NC-based “fat yoga” instructor champions “body acceptance”, and says her social media influence is merely happenstance. When it comes to her influence, she had the following to say to Cosmopolitan in a story published on the media outlet’s site this past summer:

“People need to be able to see that there’s someone out there who’s also in the struggle, because I think there’s something with yoga where it turns into this aspirational thing…You see someone who lives a yogic life and it’s like ‘Oh, be like me, my life is so perfect, I’m awesome, my face is glowing, you can do whatever it is that I’m doing because I’m so cool…I’m like, ‘Actually, I’m just over here next to you eating cheese fries watching that person and also living a yogic life.’ We are on the same level. We are all in this together”

In the article, Stanley also goes on to say that the majority of people who have reached out to her tell her that the yoga photos she’s posted to her Instagram page have inspired them to embrace their bodies, no matter their shape or size.

This is no indictment on Stanley, but rather an observation to show how the dominant society frequently exploits plus-sized/bigger Black women along side smaller, shapelier–and more widely sought after–women of other ethnicities to proclaim this to be the “standard of beauty”…as if all Black women are plus-sized, and thoroughly enjoy being that way. Unbeknownst (or not) to Black women like Jessamyn Stanley who use their size as a symbol of empowerment, these white owned media outlets only use their images to further push their insidious agendas by promoting their own women while ridiculing the Black women that they claim to be “paying tribute to” in the process.

The Vaccine-Injury Awareness League are gathering in front of the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) to demand mercury-free vaccines. Extensive studies have long linked mercury to debilitating–and deadly–side effects, such as various forms of cancer in adults, and autism in vaccinated newborns.

Among the people in attendance this weekend will be Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who delivered a pre-recorded message in regards to the disturbing trend of the negative side effects of vaccines. The video message of Kennedy was viewed by a gathering of a predominately Black crowd at a follow-up meeting to October 10th’s historic “Justice Or Else” rally. Kennedy mentioned that these poisonous vaccines are being dumped into Black areas across the country, with many young Melanoid children experiencing autism at an unprecedented rate. The majority of those affected by these harmful vaccines are Black boys, which could also very well explain the correlation with the miseducation (and eventual incarceration due to being denied opportunities during their formative years) they receive all too often.

Kennedy also went on to state that mercury is 1,000 times more fatal than lead, and that the “problem with African-Americans are the mercury-filled vaccines that make their way into your communities. This is similar to the infamous and wicked Tuskegee syphillis experiment exposed by my uncle in the 1970s.”

In a related story that appears to be more than coincidental, members of the white Jewish community have expressed the need for vaccines with kosher ingredients to ensure that it not only infringes upon their religious beliefs, but also keeps them exempt from being exposed to the mercury-filled vaccines.
