There are several items from the document that revealed information that racially motivated actions (such as being hit with fines, tickets, and brute force) taken against Melanoid citizens of Ferguson.

One of the items on the report showed an unlawful arrest made which involved a Melanoid man who was allowing his body temperature to cool down after participating in a basketball game on an outdoor public court in the summer of 2012. The arrest resulted in the Melanoid man receiving eight charges, one of the charges implied that he was not wearing a seatbealt, although he had been sitting in the parked car. Because of the charges that he faced, the Melanoid man lost a high profile job that he was employed by for years.

As if that wasn’t enough, the Justice Department will not convict former Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson with federal civil rights charges, who senselessly murdered Melanoid teenager Mike Brown in August of 2014. The news from the Justice Department has re-ignited much of the outcry for justice from the Melanoid community of Ferguson that was heard and felt around the globe for much of the second half of 2014. U.S Attorney General Eric Holder stated Wednesday, March 4 that the animosity between the police officers in Ferguson and its Melanoid residents had created a “toxic” environment throughout the city.

Perhaps the most telling  statistic of this story is that between October 2012 and October 2014, Ferguson’s Melanoid community, which constitutes nearly 70 percent of the city’s overall population, were recipients of a disproportionate 85 percent of all traffic checks by the officers of Ferguson and were twice as likely to be searched after being stopped.

Did You Know That Witness 40 From The Darren Wilson Grand Jury Is An Extreme White Supremacists? https://www.melanoidnation.org/did-you-know-that-witness-40-from-the-darren-wilson-grand-jury-is-an-extreme-white-supremacists/ https://www.melanoidnation.org/did-you-know-that-witness-40-from-the-darren-wilson-grand-jury-is-an-extreme-white-supremacists/#comments Fri, 12 Dec 2014 06:22:58 +0000 http://melanoidnation.org/?p=607 “They need to kill the f*****g niggers. It is like an ape fest.” ~Witness #40 from the Ferguson Grand Jury

Many conservative media outlets are quoting the testimony of a person only known as “witness #40” to justify the murder of unarmed Black teen Mike Brown by white officer Darren Wilson. Witness #40,who we now know is a white woman, was one of the only witnesses who’s story came close to corroborating the testimony of  Darren Wilson.

MSNBC did some closer examinations of the witness testimonies, and they discovered that witness #40 is an extreme white supremacist. Her views about Black people are so racist, the story has to be seen to be believed.

The night of the first Ferguson riots, Witness #40 was posting racist rants online, including: “They need to kill the f****g  niggers. It is like an ape fest.”

She formed an organization to raise money for Darren Wilson and to get schools to send him Christmas cards.

For more proof of her racist rants, watch the video below:

In midst of the tragic happenings between the various police departments across the country and the people of melanoid decent which inhabit its borders, the system of white supremacy has made it most recent calculated chess move.

Last week an Amendment to a Senate Bill in Illinois was quietly passed which now makes it a felony to record police officers and public officials. These officials include attorney generals, assistant attorney generals, states attorneys, and judges. The Amendment to Senate Bill 1342 basically reestablishes an equally unconstitutional eavesdropping law which was previously overturned back in March.

The Amendment is ironic but not surprising given that at the time of the of the bills overturn, The Supreme Court justice noted that the eaves dropping ban:“criminalizes a wide range of innocent conduct,” including “the recording of conversations thatcannot be deemed private: a loud argument on the street, a political debate on a college quad, yelling fans at an athletic event, or any conversation loud enough that the speakers should expect to be heard by others.

None of these examples implicate privacy interest, yet the statute makes it a felony to record each one. Judge in term of the legislative purpose of protecting conversational privacy, the statute’s scope is simply too broad.”This time around, within only two days of its introduction it was passed by both the Illinois House and the Senate.

The new amendment penetrates a loophole in the ‘reasonable expectation of privacy’ standard in law. It does this by stating that any “oral communication between 2 or more persons” is now illegal. Penalties for such offenses include:PUBLIC OFFICIAL- (Class 3 felony) Punishable by a prison sentence of 2 to 4 years.PRIVATE CITIZEN- (Class 4 felony) Punishable by a prison sentence of 1 to 3 years.

The legislation states: (a) Eavesdropping, for a first offense, is a Class 4 felony (from Ch. 38, par. 14-4) and, fora second or subsequent offense, is a Class 3 felony.(b) The eavesdropping of an oral conversation or an electric conversation of any law enforcement officer, State Attorney, Assistants States’ Attorney, the Attorney General, Assistant Attorney General, or a judge, while in the performance of his or her official duties, if not Authorized by this article or proper court order, is a class 3 felony, and for a second or subsequent offenses, is a Class 2 felony.

It would be reasonable to conclude that with such high penalties for the offense the masses will be hesitant and even cease further footage ambitions. It would also be just as reasonable to conclude that the recent murders of melanoid people (Michael Brown, Eric Garner, and Tamir Rice etc.) at the hands of law enforcement, which were caught on tape, weighed heavyon the decision. The amendment also cracks the door for further examination of the new proposition to have law enforcement officials wear body cameras. These cameras may “violate” the amendment.

Either way stay tuned… or not!

The “Giant Negro” Hysteria Has Made A Comeback https://www.melanoidnation.org/the-giant-negro-hysteria-has-made-a-comeback/ https://www.melanoidnation.org/the-giant-negro-hysteria-has-made-a-comeback/#comments Thu, 04 Dec 2014 08:29:29 +0000 http://melanoidnation.org/?p=507 In 1897 the Kansas City Journal ran an article on the son of a former slave named John Rogan, who was referred to at the time as the Negro Giant. Rogan reached the  height 8ft 6 inches, and is acknowledged as one of the tallest men ever recorded. Rogan made a living selling photos and postcards of himself, and several newspapers wrote articles about him during his lifetime.

There is evidence to believe that some media outlets at the time decided to capitalize on this image of a “Giant Negro”, because starting in 1897 the New York Times began  to run a series of racist, anti-Black propaganda stories designed to scare the white public.

From the 1890’s to the 1940’s, newspapers from around the country ran sensationalized stories about “Giant Negroes”. These were exaggerated stories about black criminality that played on white supremacist stereotypes.

The underlying theme of the stories were that black people were somewhat non-human and they were in need of more excessive violence from law-enforcement in order to be subdued. Here are some of the actual newspaper clippings from the early part of the 20th century covering the “Giant Negro” hysteria:

Fast forward to today. In cases like the legalized killing of Mike Brown and Eric Garner by law enforcement, people have tried to justify their murders by constantly mentioning the size of these individuals. In the case of Mike Brown, officer Darren Wilson-who was relatively the same size as Mike Brown-emphasized in his police statement that he felt  “like a five year old holding onto Hulk Hogan” when he engaged in his confrontation with Brown.

In the case of Eric Garner, people have tried to justify  his murder, and lack of indictment of the police officers who committed the murder, on Garner’s massive size.

So we have to fully accept that we live in a system of white supremacy that is still judging Melanoid people as a whole based of the same dangerous stereotypes from over 100 years ago. Trying to convince the dominant society to remove these deep rooted stereotypes have been, and will continue to be futile. Instead,Melanoid people should put themselves in a position of empowerment to protect themselves from the dangers of those stereotypes.

If America Is A Civilized Nation,Why Are People Rewarded Money For Killing Black Citizens? https://www.melanoidnation.org/if-america-is-a-civilized-nationwhy-are-people-rewarded-money-for-killing-black-citizens/ https://www.melanoidnation.org/if-america-is-a-civilized-nationwhy-are-people-rewarded-money-for-killing-black-citizens/#comments Fri, 28 Nov 2014 01:28:27 +0000 http://melanoidnation.org/?p=385 In  wake of the protests from the recent events in Ferguson, the shame and embarrassment of systematic white supremacy is on center stage for the world to see. As usual, the dialog has become deflective and evasive of the real problem. In media outlets, people are discussing the problem with the “looters” in Ferguson. People are discussing “bad cops”. And people are regurgitating the same tired disingenuous and deflective “what about Black on black crime” talking point.

All of these narratives are red herrings to divert the public from the real issue: Systematic white supremacy. The only dialog that Black people-and the nation for that matter- should be discussing is how are we going to replace the system of white supremacy with justice. And Melanoid people should be asking,  how are we going to protect ourselves to minimize the adverse effects of white supremacy if this system is to remain?

With all of the recent events where unarmed Black  people have been legally murdered by suspected white supremacists all throughout the United States, no one is really discussing one particular factor:

Many of the killers who are  murdering Black people are being rewarded cash money from other white supremacists nationwide.

In Florida when Michael  Dunn murdered Black teen Jordan Davis, there we donations sent to him by supporters online.

Also in Florida, when George Zimmerman murdered Black teen Trayvon Martin, not only was Zimmerman rewarded with donations that many people estimate exceeded the million dollar mark, Zimmerman is treated like a hero and celebrity around white supremacist circles. Promoters were even trying to put together a “celebrity” boxing match for Zimmerman at one point.

Even in cases where  is not murder involved, suspected white supremacists are still rewarded for harming Black people. Police officer Daniel Holtzclaw, the Oklahoma City police officer arrested in August and charged with sexually abusing eight Black women, has supporters online who have raised thousands of dollars for him.

In the recent case where Darren Wilson was given the legal right to murder unarmed Black teen Mike Brown, he has received hundreds of thousands of dollars (some estimate over a million at this point) in donations from white supremacists  supporters around the country.

While some have tried to deny the underlying racism and anti-Black hatred that is driving the support for Darren wilson, the truth always finds a way to reveal itself at some point. The GoFundMe page that was initially taking in donations for Darren Wilson (which has since been taken down) had a  section on the page where people who donated could post their comments.

And the people who were donating the money to Wilson were very clear and very specific about why they were donating. The overall consensus was that the supporters were donating because they were glad that Darren Wilson murdered a Black person.

The comments and support from the Darren Wilson GoFundMe page became so blatantly racists, the site administrators had to take the comment section down. Before they removed the comments, there were some screen shots saved and circulated around the net.

“I thank all Police. You are the “Thin Blue Line” protecting normal Americans from aggressive and entitled primitive savages” -Brad Moody $100

“I support officer Wilson and he did a great job removing an unnecessary thing from the public” -David Durant $50

“Darren and those like him are all that stand between Americans and anarchy. After 60 years of supporting the blacks I give up” -Richard Holsinger $100

“All self-respecting whites have a moral responsibility to support our growing number of martyrs to the failed experiment called diversity” -Mike Berman $100

Comments like these clearly show the support for Darren Wilson was not about justice: it was about white supremacist domination and ethnic cleansing.

With this type of mindset among us in the United States,we must understand that Melanoid people around the nation are in a state of emergency . We are literally being legally  targeted and hunted in America based on race.

And the people who are acting as “martyrs” for white supremacy are being rewarded.  In cash. That gives every white supremacist in the country the incentive to come after any one of us next.

We are not post-racial.

America’s Racism In The International Spotlight https://www.melanoidnation.org/americas-racism-in-the-international-spotlight/ https://www.melanoidnation.org/americas-racism-in-the-international-spotlight/#comments Wed, 26 Nov 2014 19:17:05 +0000 http://melanoidnation.org/?p=330 The non-indictment verdict in the case of  white officer Darren Wilson and the subsequent uprising of African American freedom fighters in Ferguson and the entire country this week ,has put America’s long history of systematic racism against Melanoid people back in the international spotlight. Headlines are coming in from news sources around the world that give commentary on the situations surrounding Ferguson.

The international press is pointing out the hypocrisy of the U.S  when it comes to race relations, and many commentators have taken the opportunity to question America’s credentials as a human rights leader.

China
The death of Michael Brown, whose killing sparked the unrest, is “a stark reminder for Uncle Sam that there are a lot of human rights violations on its own soil,” says China’s official news agency Xinhua.

“It should first fix its own problems before criticizing other countries.”

Xinhua adds that few other countries are “as self-righteous and complacent as the United States when it comes to human rights issues, but the Ferguson tragedy is apparently a slap in the face”.

Iran
Iran’s Press TV dedicated all of its morning programmes to the Ferguson clashes, showing what appeared to be “live” video from the protests.

Press TV reported that attorneys for Mr Brown’s family had said that the “grand jury process was rigged to clear the white officer” who shot him.

Iran’s State TV said the grand jury decision “indicates the existence of racial discrimination in the USA”.

The protests in Ferguson are also one of the top stories in the Iranian press.

The conservative newspaper Kayhan carried a collage of pictures from Ferguson, including a US flag being set on fire. Its headline said: “A rebellion in 90 American cities as a result of the non-indictment of the murderer policeman.”

Javan, another hardline daily, carried a report headlined, “Non-indictment of a white policeman; anger engulfs 90 American cities”.

Middle East
The story also features on the front pages of several Arab dailies.

Egypt

Al-Wafd sums up the widely-expressed view in the headline “An uprising against racism in the USA”.

Qatar

Al-Watan says US cities have been denouncing “lethal racism”, and Syria’s official Al-Thawrah newspaper notes that protests against police violence and racism are on the increase.

On social media, some Arabic-language posts have been mocking the US government and even gloating over its mishandling of the case. The Twitter hashtag #USAprotests in Arabic has been used more than 4,000 times since Tuesday.

Russia
The #Ferguson hashtag is also among the top 10 Twitter trends in Russia, and press articles have drawn parallels between Ferguson and the Maidan protests in Ukraine.

Ren TV plays on the racial aspect of the Ferguson protests and also brings in the Ukrainian crisis, describing the demonstrations as a “colour revolution” and “an attempt to start a civil war in the US”.

Germany

The German newspaper Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung argued that the underlying reasons for the violence in Ferguson are deep in American society. “The fact that racism exists in America is indisputable — but this racism is not only directed in one direction”,the paper wrote.

“Potentially the Grand Jury has indeed examined all evidence comprehensively and impartially. But the fact that so many people between New York and Los Angeles are convinced that justice has not been administered is another tragedy,” the paper wrote. “Gestures of respect and reconciliation will be indispensable to bridge the gap between the police and America’s black population. But even that will not be enough.”

Frankfurter Rundschau, made a similar argument: “The Grand Jury’s decision has not surprised anyone — which explains the full cynicism of this system.” The newspaper blamed the grand jury for having looked at the evidence with a white worldview. “Secret hearings do by far not meet serious interpretations of the rule of law.”

France

Liberation newspaper says: “Ferguson is a long way from being the post-racial America dreamed of by Barack Obama.” “A predominantly white jury chooses not to pursue another white, accused of murdering a black in a predominantly black city,” the newspaper wrote, concluding that Ferguson raises yet again the question of racism and police brutality in the United States.

Spain

Pere Vilanova writes in El Periodico that “perhaps the symbolic value of the election of a black man as president in 2008 has been overestimated and inter-communal wounds will never be healed”.

Italy

La Stampa’s New York correspondent Paolo Mastrolilli says the discussion has become one about the race problem “connected to inequality and economic disparity”. He notes that some of the white demonstrators in New York and Los Angeles wanted to broaden the debate in that direction.

India

In India a reporter for NDTV, the cable news channel, said that “the case epitomized race crimes in America” and that the photos of protesters evoking the images from Tiananmen Square were a “symbol of the challenge the greatest nation on Earth faces today.”

N. Korea

The North Korean government issued a  statement following the Ferguson verdict: ” US is kingpin of human rights abuses”.

South Africa
Writing in South Africa’s Daily Maverick, Richard Poplak finds that images of officers facing off against enraged citizens show “an American city aping South African archival footage”.

“It’s a reminder that in divided countries, with histories of institutionalized racism, reconciliation without actually reconciling… justice is not just impossible, but a massive cover-up, a ruse used by power.”
