If you are reading this article, then you already know that we are in a current Race War. Family, do not fall for the victim blaming or the denial tactics. We did not start the war, we may not want to be at war, but it is what it is. Unfortunately, we cannot continue to put our heads in the sand and pretend this problem does not exist or the war is not picking up momentum. This is a declared war against all people with Melanin. We have 400 years of proof to show cooning, bedwenching, bedbucking, and playing dead will not save us. We must now take our biggest and boldest steps to survive and embrace reality with open arms. As a mother, I would not wish this on anyone and especially not my children. However, being a melanoid family, we must all accept that anyone of us may walk out our door or have race soldiers barge into our homes and become a hashtag. Because of our Melanin, we are being attacked with deadly force and we must unite and survive. Because of these facts and my love for all humanity and justice, I am giving you the ugly facts to save our family collectively. Welcome to your Survival Series!

As we progress through the Survival Topics to win the war against us as a Melanoid People by eliminating the system of white supremacy and creating a system of justice, let’s take some time to reveal the Battle Plan. With me, if I set out on a journey, I like a well laid plan. I like a map and I love to know where I am going and how I will get there. This is not to say roadblocks or detours will not be necessary, but even if you have one, you can find your map and get right back on track. As a scientist, I have been trained to take excellent notes and leave a plan detailed enough that if for any reason something happens to me, the next person can pick up where I left off and see it through. This brings us to the purpose of the Survival Series, be prepared. A great teacher once told me, “If you stay ready, you don’t have to get ready.”

I have selected a group of article topics and associated General Equipment Method for Survival, “GEMS” to serve as our guide. We are going to hit some heavy material quickly. The format will be:

  1. Introduce the Topic
  2. Discussion
  3. GEMS
  4. Homework (not to be turned in or graded but recommended to stay in ready status)
  5. Response to Comments, Questions and Concerns Sent

Upcoming Topics and GEMS

Today’s Response to Comments and Emails:

  1. Comment: “Bring back the Black Panthers” Response: They are back! Be the change you want to see. Interact with and be a part of this movement. What are the goals of the Black Panther Party? What did they do? How did they do it? How did they go extinct/dormant? Those who do now know and understand history are doomed to repeat it. Say what you will about Dr. King, but after his death, everyone in his inner circle became a recognized leader. We are doing a new thing. Everyone is a leader. When you look in the mirror, you are looking at everything good, every leader needed to conquer white supremacy and bring justice to all of humanity. This is what makes us different, we want best for all living things. There is no one left to do it for us, we must create something different for future generations.
  2. @Tro44 says: “We need a Propaganda Team” and he had some excellent suggestions on how it could operate. Response: I agree! We have seen the effects of Brietbart and the Daily Stormer. Through the teachings of Dr. Claude Anderson and Hidden Colors 2: The Triumph of Melanin, we will properly explore steps to put this in action. In response, I ask all of you to review the topics and submit even a paragraph, current/historical event, or article in advance of the topic. For any Melanoid Nation family member skilled in the creative arts (writing, drawing, etc.) please send me an email so we can develop this team.

Homework: Read “The Isis Papers” by Dr. Frances Cress-Welsing  from Cover to Page 16, 183-193, and 219-231

We are asking all Melanoid Nation family to stay safe, stay on code, and get your Second Amendment game strong. We have the right to protect ourselves. Family, it does not matter if you take the Martin non-violent approach or the Malcolm by any means necessary approach. You will still be a nigga. Try not to be a dead nigga. I am not saying start anything, simply finish everything. Melanoid Nation is not condoning or supporting violence, merely survival. I look forward to tomorrow’s discussion on Lynching.

R.I.P. To The “Conscious Community” https://www.melanoidnation.org/r-i-p-to-the-conscious-community/ https://www.melanoidnation.org/r-i-p-to-the-conscious-community/#comments Mon, 27 Feb 2017 11:53:23 +0000 http://melanoidnation.org/?p=3957 Written by B. Clark

What a time to be alive.

There’s a change in the air, yet the sensation can’t be felt physically, but rather metaphorically. The same way that we are currently witnessing a literal shift from winter to spring, we are also experiencing another transition; perhaps it’s a shift that even the sharpest minds of Black Society have yet to pinpoint. It is a slow death of what many of us have perceived to be the “conscious community”.

Before you, the knowledgeable reader of Melanoid Nation reaches an untimely conclusion about the context of this particular story, please be mindful of the fact that there can never be a true death of tried and true information, hard scientific data, and the efforts brought about by Melanoid people to evoke genuine change in our own respective ways. However, We’d be remiss to take note of the fact that there is a steady growing wave of frustration that is sweeping across Black Society. What is this frustration, you ask? The frustration that we speak of at the present moment is our collective “fed up” approach to many of the semantics, over promising/under delivering, and a vomit-inducing disgust with the overall theatrical production that has billed itself as the “conscious community”.

It was Yours Truly who, in 2014, wrote about essentially the same movement–with a much more heightened sense of optimism with this “conscious renaissance” that would surely shake Melanoid people worldwide at our cores to rally us to a call to action. While the same optimism and love for my people never waned, it has simply been re-channeled into more constructive outlets…but my outlook on the concept of the “conscious community” definitely has.

I am quite confident that the frustrations I have suffered with this once-promising movement are also shared with a substantial number of other progressive-minded individuals throughout Black Society, who at this point, want nothing more than just a tangible solution for remedying the ills brought upon African people worldwide by the lingering effects of racism/white supremacy. In spite of all of the vivid concerns expressed to this point, all hope is not lost on Melanoid people’s salvation. Certain individuals have stood the test of time, and used their God-given talents and resources to contribute to the repairing and uplifting of Black Society. Whether these people are business owners, activists, educators, or filmmakers, they have exemplified what it takes to bring about authentic change (for the better) for our people.

If I appear to be overly skeptical of the “conscious community”, then don’t take my word for it. For instance, just take a look at some of the recent dialogues occurring on your social media timelines. Black folks are asking questions, and demanding legitimate answers from (not all) the key figures associated with the “conscious community”, even using their platforms to openly express their own concerns with this ‘movement’ that was slated to bring about something that we haven’t seen in our lifetimes as Melanoid people.

The perpetual bickering among some of our most beloved Brother and Sisters in the “conscious community” would prompt many a person new to the information to feel as if they were better off ‘unwoke’. The “conscious community” has produced religious/spiritual sects that clique up and take sides as if both sides were preparing for an actual knockdown/drag out fight — all because of minor ideological differences. You might come across another person affiliated with the “conscious community” who will seek to shame the rest of Black Society through excessive dogmatic commentary and/or passive-aggressive preaching that would be fit for soapboxes everywhere. The foul stench of the “holier-than-thou” aroma has permeated its way throughout the “conscious community”, which has only hastened its demise.

Perhaps the most unfortunate–and downright terrifying–thing to consider as we witness the “conscious community” crumble to pieces is that all of this dysfunction is occurring in a time in which we can least afford to entertain such behavior. The current political and racial climate in this country has made no bones about its anti-Black agenda.

The so-called “conscious community” is even being denounced by some of the greatest minds that Black Society has ever produced. This is food for thought, and they aren’t the only ones escaping a burning building known as…the “conscious community”.

From this point on, here’s to a more practical and sustainable approach to Melanoid Empowerment.

What a time to be alive, indeed.

How To Shake Off The Blues Created By Current Events https://www.melanoidnation.org/how-to-shake-off-the-blues-created-by-current-events/ https://www.melanoidnation.org/how-to-shake-off-the-blues-created-by-current-events/#comments Wed, 04 Nov 2015 09:27:54 +0000 http://melanoidnation.org/?p=2852 This month marks the 1 year anniversary of melanoidnation.org. We here at the site have worked tirelessly to serve you, Black Society, with stories (good, bad, and ugly) that you are more than entitled to be informed of. This has been done because many of the stories we have featured here on the site would have never seen the light of day under the watch of the dominant society’s media outlets, which further emphasizes the need for Black media to counter such media biases and blackouts that do not serve the best interests of Black Society.

As we move into the waning moments of 2015, Black Society has weathered one of the most violent storms in history that doesn’t seem to have any ending in sight. This year alone, we’ve been bombarded with news stories upon news stories that consist of the following: lynchings, members of the dominant white society spewing “racial tourettes”, mass media propaganda which paints us in an extremely inferior–and one sided–manner, and the ever-accumulating stories of race soldier cops beating up and/or murdering Melanoid people in cold blood. However, we here at Melanoid Nation bring you these types of stories to light the proverbial fire under the collective backsides of Black Society.

In the midst of this tumultuous year, we have listened to the cries of frustration from many good Brothers and Sisters in Black Society who often wear the heavy burden of racism/white supremacy like an albatross around their necks. In reading many of these stories and/or sharing them via social media, the general consensus among many is that there appears to be much anger and fear which has been conjured up after they receive word of the inhumane acts that have committed against people who look like them. We most certainly empathize with your pain, because your pain mirrors ours.

Despite the gut-wrenching effects often felt from consuming these stories into our collective psyches, all hope is not lost. Listed below are a few ways to shake off those negative feelings which could ultimately cause you to sink into the muck and mire of a counterproductive life.

1. Dialogue with others about the material you’ve read.

Bad news, just like any other negative external force, should never be internalized without a method to properly channel the pain. For a lack of better words, just…vent. Disseminate these stories with family, friends, and loved ones who have your best interests at heart..especially those of the like-minded variety. Assess how you all can do your parts to counter–or change–what you’ve just read about in these articles.

2. Avoid pettiness.

Since the launching of this site last year, the stories that we have provided for you have been generally well-received by our readers and supporters. Yet, sometimes the feedback of the stories can be sidetracked by trolls, who are oftentimes nothing more than white supremacists who seek to derail any progressive activity among Melanoid people. Learn to realize when these detractors are at work, and completely ignore their presence. Stay away from dabbling in emotionalism as they aim to bait Melanoid people into irrelevant activity such as namecalling and arguing with them.

3. Connect.

In the midst of the somber nature of some of the stories that have appeared on this site, we are proud to state that we feature stories of empowerment and inspiration as well. Some of these uplifting stories profile individuals, businesses, and movements that serve as an asset to Black Society. While covering these positive stories, we have included ways that you can reach out to them to contact them for their services. Don’t hesitate to reach out to them and show your support, and you could possibly even forge business connections with these movers and shakers as well.

4. Support the cause.

In its short existence, the Melanoid Nation Foundation has already financially supported a plethora of noble causes in Black Society. This is due to your generous contributions to the site which has funded a movement that isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. From paying for the funerals of Melanoid people who have been senselessly murdered, to supporting Afrikan-Centered Schools, just these examples alone are plenty of reasons to smile.

5. Know that the best is yet to come.

Because of your support, our stories are reaching Black people in record numbers, and counting. “The People” are becoming much more cognizant of what is happening to them, why it’s happening, and what must need to be done to rectify our current standing. It is because of you, Melanoid Nation, that we exist. We will continue to reciprocate the love.

Black Society Celebrates New Holiday In Style https://www.melanoidnation.org/black-society-celebrates-new-holiday-in-style/ https://www.melanoidnation.org/black-society-celebrates-new-holiday-in-style/#comments Mon, 02 Nov 2015 08:37:15 +0000 http://melanoidnation.org/?p=2835 For ages, dashikis have been known as the easy-to-wear shirts which originate in Africa. They are also known for their vibrant colors and have been one of the few remnants of African culture that have been embraced by Melanoid people throughout the diaspora–particularly in the United States. We’ve witnessed the dashiki worn by Black activists, celebrities, and regular folks. As of 2015, the dashiki now has its moment in the spotlight.

The special day has gathered much buzz on social media, where countless Black men, women, and children were shown in photos donning dashikis of varying sizes and colors.

Celebrated this past weekend (Oct. 30th), Dashiki Day was a well-received event that seems to have legitimate staying power. Not only has the day become a movement, the movement has become a business. Although dashikis have been sold in stores seemingly forever, websites such as dashikipride.com are rightfully and respectfully monetizing on Dashiki Day, connecting with a younger customer base and ensuring that this particular segment of African/Black culture doesn’t get hijacked by “culture vultures” who have swooped in to devour much of Black Society’s other cultural contributions.

Co-founded by Lilian and Chinyere Ugokwe, Dashiki Pride’s website offers a wide variety of dashikis at very affordable prices. Although Dashiki Day has been perceived by detractors as a day for Melanoid people to indulge in yet another symbolic gesture, it actually represents something bigger. It validates the recent re-awakening of Black Society. In this case, Black people have awakened to embrace and celebrate their culture, and look good while doing so.

School Attack In Sweden Was Racially Motivated https://www.melanoidnation.org/school-attack-in-sweden-was-racially-motivated/ https://www.melanoidnation.org/school-attack-in-sweden-was-racially-motivated/#comments Fri, 23 Oct 2015 18:09:50 +0000 http://melanoidnation.org/?p=2779 Trollhättan, Sweden — A 21-year-old white man was identified as the suspect in the killings of two people–one was a 15-year-old male student, and the other was a 20-year-old male teaching assistant. The assailant bludgeoned the victims to death with a sword. Two other people were also victims, and are currently hospitalized in critical condition.

Although Trollhättan’s law enforcement officials have refused to disclose the name of the attacker–who was shot dead by police on the scene of the crimes–various media outlets in that area have identified him as Anton Lundin Pettersson.

Pettersson was described as wearing all black at the time of the incident, which clearly was a Darth Vader (Star Wars villain) costume from the looks of the featured photo of this story. He was said to have been extremely anti-social, loved heavy metal music and hated rap music. He also displayed a disturbing obsession with Nazi Germany, which prompted him to like and share videos of the notoriously racist regime on his Facebook and YouTube accounts.

The town of Trollhättan has a substantial immigrant population, with many of them coming from the African nation of Somalia. Pettersson had recently registered for an anti-immigration movement in Sweden. It has also been reported that Pettersson had the full intent to target “dark-skinned people” during his attack.

Here is a video covering the story.

The school killings in Sweden come off the heels of a week that has witnessed many white supremacists venting their frustrations online about the casting of Black characters in the new Star Wars film…which could have been shared frustration by Pettersson, who opted to wear the Darth Vader mask during while committing the murders.

Here is a link to the story.

Nigerian Teenagers Create a New Web Browser https://www.melanoidnation.org/nigerian-teenagers-create-a-new-web-browser/ https://www.melanoidnation.org/nigerian-teenagers-create-a-new-web-browser/#comments Sat, 06 Jun 2015 06:41:08 +0000 http://melanoidnation.org/?p=1873 If it’s true that “A child will lead them”, then Anesi and Osine Ikhianosime are leaders in every sense of the often-used saying.

The Nigerian siblings have shown their love for computers since an age when many barely learn to recite their time tables. Osine developed interest at the age of 7. It was also at this age that he and his brother, Anesi Ikhianosime, who was 9 at the time, came up with the idea of starting a company. Fed up with Google Chrome, they decided to embark on a way to remedy their frustrations with the widely-used web browser by developing their own.

After learning to code at the ages of 12 (Anesi) and 14 (Osine), their hard work paid off, which allowed their efforts to launch CrocodileThe app currently has approximately 5,000 downloads. To add to this remarkable feat performed by the young Melanoid siblings, they embarked upon this project in 2013, around the same time they started to learn to code.

The younger Anesi has already stated that he wants to create another app that will solve real world/real life problems, such as traffic and communication issues. Considering the ages of the young Brothers who have already earned the title of ‘problem solvers’, The future shines brilliantly for them both. The following video shows an ad for the browser, which launched recently.

Over the years, our health has been cause for concern, with ailments such as diabetes, high blood pressure, and heart disease running rampant throughout Black Society. There are some individuals who are taking the steps to provide tangible services to our communities that will also contribute to healthier lifestyles for our people.

Below is a link that gives a growing list of Black-owned farms/gardens.

Black Immigrant Population in the States Increased Fourfold Since 1980 https://www.melanoidnation.org/black-immigrant-population-in-the-states-increased-fourfold-since-1980/ https://www.melanoidnation.org/black-immigrant-population-in-the-states-increased-fourfold-since-1980/#comments Mon, 13 Apr 2015 05:50:33 +0000 http://melanoidnation.org/?p=1375 The Pew Research Center concluded that the number of immigrants to this country who are of African descent has quadrupled since 1980. Black immigrants comprise 8.7% of the overall Black population of the U.S.

According to the Census Bureau, 16.5% of Black Americans will be immigrants by the year 2060. Continental Africans make up the majority of the Black immigrant population in the U.S., at 36%.

On paper, this appears to be very uplifting data. What we should be concerned with, however, is the long-standing rift that exists between the American-born descendants of African slaves and foreign-born Africans of the Diaspora who move to the States. Of course, this rift was created by policymakers in the States who regulated immigration to this country.  In the years since the end of slavery in 1865, it has been feared by white supremacists that Africans around the world would form alliances to counter–and eventually defeat–systematic racism/white supremacy by building a society totally independent of Westernized societies.

It has been statistically proven that America is witnessing an increase in Black immigration. Can we as Melanoid people (also classified as Black) use this to our advantage? Or will the increasing Black presence here in the States be “addressed” by white supremacists as they attempt to numerically suppress our collective population by watering it down and giving the new Black immigrants classifications or preferences over us that will separate them from the rest of us, much like many Hispanics (or “Afro Latinos”) were treated in years past?

The Organizations of Disorganization https://www.melanoidnation.org/the-organizations-of-disorganization/ https://www.melanoidnation.org/the-organizations-of-disorganization/#comments Sun, 05 Apr 2015 02:21:28 +0000 http://melanoidnation.org/?p=1286 Lately, it’s evident that a spike in ‘Black Consciousness’ has returned, with no signs of subsiding anytime soon. Melanoid people all over the country are flocking to purchase books that depict our history in a factual and favorable light. Our women are rightfully embracing their hair in its natural and Creator-given state. We are taking our families and loved ones to attend lectures given by our most brilliant Black minds. In the midst of this renaissance, there appears to be some individuals in our community who have taken it upon themselves to create dialogue on possible solutions.

While this may often seem like a constructive and noble gesture in the eyes and hearts of many, we must all use our “third eye” by always going into these meetings/conferences with certain questions in mind:

1. Does the individual or group that organized the meeting suggest that we (Blacks) enlist the help of people outside of the community?

This is perhaps one of the more critical questions that you must determine as you choose to attend one of these meetings. Oftentimes, our issues will be discussed in such a manner that may appear unsolvable unless we reach out to non-Black people to fund–and often lead–our movements…as if we are somehow incapable of doing the aforementioned tasks ourselves. Remember, the (outside) hand that finances your causes, RULES. Thus, they determine the course of action–or inaction–that your organization will take from that point forward. Besides, it’s a safe bet to assume that La Raza isn’t in a rush to recruit us to join hands with them anytime soon.

2. Do the individuals or groups who organize the meetings emphasize the need for us to immerse ourselves into a spiritual/religious group?

As African people, we are extremely spiritual. Many concerned Brothers and Sisters in the African/Melanoid community join certain initiatives in hopes that they will be able to make their contributions to the overall improvement of Black Society, but as the meetings commence, the organization or keynote speaker of the gathering may attempt to dupe the attendees into immersing themselves in religious rhetoric by wanting to  form prayer/meditation groups, or other forms of laissez-faire activity in regards to addressing systematic white supremacy.

3. Do the meetings that you attend become nothing more than a breeding ground for combative egomaniacs?

Unfortunately, this occurs at many African-Centered lectures, workshops, and grassroots meetings. The speaker who takes the floor will be providing valuable information, only to be rudely interrupted by a detractor who feels that actually, he or she has the “keys to the kingdom”, meaning, they have the answers…and the well-respected and credible speaker’s informative commentary should be disregarded. Because of the temperamental nature of these Brothers or Sisters, their foolish boldness at these events may or may not be planned and even encouraged by “people in high places”, so expect the unexpected.

4. Are the meetings reduced to conversations littered with defeatist talk and an energy that suggests hopelessness?

If the dialogues in your local African-Centered meetings consist of slave-minded talk which implies that systematic racism/white supremacy is too big of a beast to slay, then immediately dismiss yourself from the gathering. Such talk has poisoned the minds and hearts of Black men, women, and children for centuries to this point, so why involve yourself with the perpetuation of the Willie Lynch Indoctrination?

There is nothing more promising than knowing that Melanoid people across the landscape of this country are feeling compelled to organize. In doing so, just determine that your organizers and colleagues in the African-Centered movements that you join are action-based, and transparent. Identifying, establishing, and enforcing a code of conduct is what our community is desperately needing right now.
