New information has been revealed that shows one of the key figures who allegedly played an instrumental role in Roof’s life. Harold Covington, an author of white supremacist literature, has a long history of being a proponent for white nationalism and separatism. Although his books are written under the guise of science fiction, the propaganda-laced material possesses more than a hint of racism/white supremacy rhetoric. Covington is also the head of an ever-increasing number of members of a white nationalist group by the name of Northwest Front, an organization that according to its site’s mission statement, is The Northwest Front is “a political organization of Aryan men and women who recognize that an independent and sovereign White nation in the Pacific Northwest is the only possibility for the survival of the White race on this continent.”

Covington, who has been involved with white nationalism since the 1970’s, has a biological brother who discusses Harold’s youth and his journey to becoming one of the most notorious writers to date. Harold Covington went on record as saying that the Charleston mass murders are “a preview of coming attractions”.

In hindsight, it is now no surprise that Dylann Roof was moved to commit such heinous crimes against Melanoid people in the way that he did. Roof even cited Covington’s Northwest Front in his now infamous manifesto released that went viral in wake of the Charleston killings.
