We have constantly ‘beat the drum’ by informing  (and encouraging) you on how and where to patronize Black-owned businesses, and the following story is yet another example of why we in Black Society don’t have a choice but to support those who support us.

Ben Hill Custom Cleaners is a dry cleaning service located in the Metro Atlanta area, and it is owned by a non-Melanoid person. A Black man and his son pulled up to the drive-thru to pick up his dry cleaned clothes, and was met with an extremely rude reception by the business’s owner. Check out the video below to see the the whole scenario unfold for yourself.

There is an old saying that goes, “Go where you are celebrated, not tolerated”. In this case, the owner of Ben Hill Custom Cleaners did not even display the slightest inkling of tolerance for his Black customer(s). Black Society, are THESE the types of people who you trust to give you exemplary customer service?

White Educator “Shucks-N-Jives” With Black Students https://www.melanoidnation.org/white-educator-shucks-n-jives-with-black-students/ https://www.melanoidnation.org/white-educator-shucks-n-jives-with-black-students/#comments Tue, 05 Jan 2016 20:09:30 +0000 http://melanoidnation.org/?p=3078 The Internet has seen more than its fair share of sensationalized videos that go viral in little to no time. From infants who display mannerisms atypical of their age, to animals dancing in rhythm to popular music, we’ve seemingly seen it all at this point. The following example will be no different.

In a story that’s eerily similar to Hillary Clinton’s “Whip & Nae Nae” dance to impress prospective Black voters, Ron Clark–a white man who founded the Ron Clark Academy in Atlanta–is doing a little pantomiming of his own. In the following video, he engages in a choreographed dance called the “Bet You Can’t Do It Like Me Challenge”, inspired by a popular dance.

Time has reported that within the first 14 hours of the video being posted, it had been viewed well over a million times and shared over 44,000 times via Clark’s Facebook page. As you will see from the video’s stats, those numbers have been far surpassed already.

While this story isn’t simply about dancing alone, the question must be asked: Why is the sight of seeing white educators buck dancing with our children conjure up warm and fuzzy feelings in the hearts of so many (including Melanoid people), yet the concept of African-centered schools staffed staffed with all Black educators–institutions that are guaranteed to introduce a Black child to its truest forms of history and culture while reinforcing its sense of identity without having to feel compelled to entertain them–are deemed ‘controversial’ by white supremacists and suspected white supremacists alike?

Ron Clark has been known in the past for using his Black students to entertain the masses. In 2008, students from his school appeared on several national media platforms to perform during that year’s Obama vs. McCain presidential campaign. Has Ron Clark made a name for himself by “slumming” with his Black students? Check out the video below to decide for yourself.

In fact, the lion’s share of Black people’s ability to combat the systemic evils of racism/white supremacy are deeply rooted in building a thriving and respectable economic base. In doing so, we in Black Society are not only enabling ourselves to experience individual financial  success, but we also position ourselves to do business with other like-minded and thorough Black business owners, thus building a thriving Black Community in the process..reminiscent of the grandiose vision of Black economic empowerment originally spearheaded by Black leaders such as the Hon. Marcus Mosiah Garvey.

One man lives by the economic-centered principles of Garvey–a man by the name of Delxino Wilson de Briano. In August of 1994, Delxino and his wife Debbie Wilson de Briano founded TAG TEAM Marketing in Atlanta, GA. Even though the company’s title includes the word “Marketing”, there is no need for alarm–which is justifiable based on consumers’ long-held suspicions with companies that operate with such a moniker.

According to TAG TEAM Marketing’s website,TAG TEAM Marketing is a “Black-owned and operated marketing company that specializes in marketing the products and services of Black-owned businesses to Black consumers.” In a nutshell, this means that if you are a Black entrepreneur with a quality product or service to offer prospective customers, the the platform that TAG TEAM Marketing has provided is the perfect place for you to “set up shop” online.

As you can see by following this linkTAG TEAM Marketing’s online store offers a plethora of products that are Black owned, operated, and manufactured. From cleaning supplies to financial services, this virtual store for all things Black appears to be well on its way to becoming a one-stop shop for Blacks who possess the good intentions of spending their hard earned Black dollars with other Melanoid people.

There Is New Information Revealing Black People’s Exposure To Deadly Vaccines https://www.melanoidnation.org/there-is-new-information-revealing-black-peoples-exposure-to-deadly-vaccines/ https://www.melanoidnation.org/there-is-new-information-revealing-black-peoples-exposure-to-deadly-vaccines/#comments Thu, 22 Oct 2015 01:30:26 +0000 http://melanoidnation.org/?p=2768 ATLANTA, GA — This upcoming weekend (Oct. 23-25), a rally has been organized to take place in the Georgia state capital to raise awareness of vaccinations, and the dangers that they bring.

The Vaccine-Injury Awareness League are gathering in front of the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) to demand mercury-free vaccines. Extensive studies have long linked mercury to debilitating–and deadly–side effects, such as various forms of cancer in adults, and autism in vaccinated newborns.

Among the people in attendance this weekend will be Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who delivered a pre-recorded message in regards to the disturbing trend of the negative side effects of vaccines. The video message of Kennedy was viewed by a gathering of a predominately Black crowd at a follow-up meeting to October 10th’s historic “Justice Or Else” rally. Kennedy mentioned that these poisonous vaccines are being dumped into Black areas across the country, with many young Melanoid children experiencing autism at an unprecedented rate. The majority of those affected by these harmful vaccines are Black boys, which could also very well explain the correlation with the miseducation (and eventual incarceration due to being denied opportunities during their formative years) they receive all too often.

Kennedy also went on to state that mercury is 1,000 times more fatal than lead, and that the “problem with African-Americans are the mercury-filled vaccines that make their way into your communities. This is similar to the infamous and wicked Tuskegee syphillis experiment exposed by my uncle in the 1970s.”

In a related story that appears to be more than coincidental, members of the white Jewish community have expressed the need for vaccines with kosher ingredients to ensure that it not only infringes upon their religious beliefs, but also keeps them exempt from being exposed to the mercury-filled vaccines.

Here is the video of Robert F. Kennedy’s message.

Farrakhan In The Black Church https://www.melanoidnation.org/black-clergyman-believes-theres-room-for-min-farrakhan-in-the-black-church/ https://www.melanoidnation.org/black-clergyman-believes-theres-room-for-min-farrakhan-in-the-black-church/#comments Wed, 23 Sep 2015 16:49:39 +0000 http://melanoidnation.org/?p=2541 ATLANTA, GA — Last week, we featured a story here on Melanoid Nation that involved the Hon. Minister Louis Farrakhan being banned from giving speeches in Charleston, S.C. based on the local Black clergymen (in Charleston)’s conjecture that Minister Farrakhan’s message against racism/white supremacy would be too ‘controversial’.

Fortunately, not all Black clergymen feel this way. An interview has been conducted by Rolling Out that features one man by the name of Dr. F. Keith Slaughter. Dr. Slaughter is the Dean of the Morehouse School of Religion on the campus of the Interdenominational Theological Center in Atlanta. In the interview, he explicitly elaborates on the importance of Farrakhan’s alliance with the Black church.

His (Farrakhan’s) message is consistent with the original and authentic message of liberation that began the Black church in the U.S. We must be reminded that the Black church began as a resistance movement to counterbalance the impact of the racist Christian church, which was/is rooted in White supremacy.

….There are many Black “so-called” leaders whose messages counter the message of Farrakhan … how about Dr. Ben Carson, for instance? I believe we are at a point in our history as an oppressed people whereby we can no longer allow space for “false divisions” based on social constructions to determine whether we support each other or no.

As a Black clergyman himself, Dr. F. Keith Slaughter’s outspokenness on this topic breathes new life into what some Black churches have contrived to be a “controversy”. He sheds light on the outlandishness of certain Black churches’ refusal to be remotely involved with anything that will enlighten–and embolden–their Melanoid members to be Black-first. Not only is there room for Minister Farrakhan in the Black Church, there’s also room in Black Society for Melanoid people who will unapologetically speak truth to power, such as Dr. F. Keith Slaughter.

Here are video clips which show Minister Farrakhan’s year-long travels to various churches around the country, campaigning for the Justice Or Else! movement.
