The attacker, whose name is John McGraw, was interviewed by an Inside Edition reporter, and says that 26-year-old Rakeem Jones “deserved” the malicious blow to his head, and that he had no regrets about attacking him.

“The next time we see him (Rakeem Jones), we might have to kill him”, McGraw boastfully says in the short video clip below.

As it turns out, the seasoned white supremacist was arrested on Thursday (March 10) after the rally, and was charged with assault. The modus operandi of white supremacists such as John McGraw can be found in others of his ilk, from Mark Fuhrman to George Zimmerman–blatantly open racists who have made light of their hatred and ill-intent towards Melanoid people.

Black Man Has His Constitutional Rights Violently Violated At A Trump Rally https://www.melanoidnation.org/black-man-has-his-constitutional-rights-violently-violated-at-a-trump-rally/ https://www.melanoidnation.org/black-man-has-his-constitutional-rights-violently-violated-at-a-trump-rally/#comments Thu, 10 Mar 2016 18:48:14 +0000 http://melanoidnation.org/?p=3321 FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — In yet another story that involves innocent Black people being brutally assaulted at a Donald Trump rally, this one happened last night.

Last week, at a Trump rally in Louisville, Kentucky, a Black woman was assaulted by a violent throng of white supremacist Trump supporters, causing the incident to go viral. Fast forward to last night, and a similar incident took place, with non-violent Black protesters being attacked in the same fashion.

One of the young men–who according to the New York Daily News is named Rakeem Jones–was blindsided with a punch from an older white man, and physically drug out of the rally filled with rowdy and racist bystanders who enthusiastically encouraged Mr. Jones’s assault. In spite of it all, the fact remains that Jones and the other non-violent protesters saw their constitutional rights violated–which is something that suspected white supremacists often complain about whenever they feel like they are denied of the right to freely express themselves.

The level of vitriol and violence at these Donald Trump rallies are escalating at an alarming rate. The safety of innocent Black people at these events is severely jeopardized, and they must be fully informed of the potentially life-risking choices they make when opting to attend these safe havens for white extremism.

Below is the video footage of Rakeem Jones being assaulted by the white man at the Trump rally.

Towards the end of freedom summer 1964, three civil rights workers were dug up from an earthen dam at depth from 14 feet on August 4, 1964 in Neshoba County, Mississippi.  Their names were James Chaney, Michael Schwerner, and Andrew Goodman. At the same time, many Black communities, across the state were experiencing the wrath of hatred from white racists who induced terrorism to maintain racial apartheid in Mississippi.

McComb, MS is a small town located about 80 miles outside of Jackson, MS, the state’s capital. McComb, Mississippi was deemed the “Bomb Capital of the world in 1964.” From June through September of 1964, the Black community experienced over a dozen bombings and a numerous number of violent acts during that summer. Any Blacks that were involved with the civil rights movement, voter registration, or providing any assistance to the movement were targeted. White business owners used economic punishment against Blacks who worked for them. The COFO (Council of Federated Organizations) headquarters on 702 Wall St. was bombed on July 8th. Two teenage Black students at a freedom school–who had been receiving harassing phone calls were arrested for using profanity over the phone–tried without counsel and sentenced one year each to jail under the “Mississippi Phone Harassment Law “.

Black churches were burned down in the area, and the sounds of explosions were so frequent that McComb residents couldn’t sleep, and most Blacks didn’t go to sleep until early morning hours. Local authorities and the federal government provided no protection from the violence. In most cases, local law were involved with the terror. They normally showed up after the bombings to intimidate victims and remove any evidence from the explosion site.

The bombing of Mrs. Aleyne Quinn’s home sparked a Black uprising in McComb on September 20, 1964. Being that this was after the 13th bombing, Blacks were fed up at this point. They had accepted the fact that there wouldn’t be any protection for exercising their constitutional rights from local and federal authorities. Mrs. Quinn, also known as “Mama Quinn“, was a freedom fighter, entrepreneur, and a respected figure in the community. Fourteen sticks of dynamite exploded, just beneath of where her two young children slept. Luckily, there were only minor injuries. The local authorities arrested Mrs. Quinn for blowing up her own home.  Another church was bombed the same night, marking the fourteenth bombing.

Blacks took to the streets with rage, moltov cocktails, rifles, and shotguns. Police cars were burned. State police were dispatched to the area. White citizens were shot at by snipers. The local white community was met with extreme resistance. A small riot ensued. Although there were causalities on both sides, whites feared for their life and retreated. Realizing that this had boiled over, the local authorities reached out to the federal government for assistance. Mike Wallace, an American journalist, broadcasted on the air that there was a “Negro riot” in McComb ,Mississippi. Two days later, Mrs. Quinn and three other freedom fighters traveled to the nation’s capital , and met with President Lyndon B. Johnson. The next week, three white men were brought up on charges for carrying out some of the racial bombings.

When we think of bombings, we think of instances like the bombing that occurred at the 2013 Boston Marathon, and how horrific that was. Imagine the pain these residents endured during that summer of 1964.

Below is information pulled from Historical Manuscripts. This is witness account from Freedom Fighters, who were working in McComb that summer. This is a written note from Sept 20, 1964.

Society Hill Baptist Church, bombed on 9/20/64.

Society Hill Baptist Church, bombed on 9/20/64.

The first bomb comes at 10:50. Most of the Negros of McComb are in bed, but only some are sleeping. These days, most Adult Negroes in McComb don’t fall asleep until the wee hours of the morning. Then the blast–that sickening, anguishing sound that has been heard twelve previous times over the last three months–that sound that Negros in McComb have come to know so well. Everyone in McComb hears the sound of the blast. McComb is a small town and very very quiet. At night, the sound of the blast can be heard for miles. And so tonight, the blast is heard for the 13th and shortly later for the 14th time . Tonight, the sound is even more anguishing. The pain grows worse with each bombing. Every negro in McComb instantly knows what that sound means…And then the moments of torment—who’s house, who is dead ? Its not mine. Then who? My neighbor? My friend –my mother ,my brother, my son, or maybe COFO again. Who? And one’s stomach aches with pain, and the pain seeps up into the chest and the head, and comes out of every paw. Who? Is someone dead? The fear and the suspense grows . The anguish becomes unbearable. People grab whatever clothing they can find and run out into the streets.

Would A Trump Election Actually Be Good For Black America? https://www.melanoidnation.org/would-a-trump-election-actually-be-good-for-black-america/ https://www.melanoidnation.org/would-a-trump-election-actually-be-good-for-black-america/#comments Fri, 04 Mar 2016 20:22:52 +0000 http://melanoidnation.org/?p=3306

After Super Tuesday, it seems as if Donald Trump will have an opportunity to become the 45th President of the United States of America.  Many might see this as a direct threat to Black America (as if there is no present threat),  but I digress.  An election of Trump to the highest office in the free World might be the best thing for Black people since 1863.  Why?

It will wake Black people up.

The majority of Black people are figuratively sleep; as in unconscious.  Unconscious to the oppression of systematic white supremacy.  This unconsciousness (and white supremacy, for that matter) is the reason that Blacks own one half of one percent of all the wealth in America.  A fact that has remained since…

1863

There are more Black people incarcerated, on probation, and on parole than there were slaves in…

1863

We (Black people) love to pretend that we live in a post-racial America in-between televised shootings of unarmed Black males.  This is, as the aforementioned points illustrate, obviously not the case.

And it is, for this fact, Trump’s support is most shocking to the unconscious Negro.  The white rallying cries for Trump by old and YOUNG white Americans exposes the collective white supremacist hate and vitriol towards Black Americans.

A Presidential election of a blatant racist bigot such as Donald J. Trump may just be the wake-up call for all sleepy Negros with individual power to use it while encouraging those without individual power to come together collectively.

…But then again if killing Black people dead in the street doesn’t spark the collective conscious of Black America to gather power, wealth, and influence, nothing will.

Sleep tight

Why Do Some Blacks Tolerate Suspected White Supremacists? https://www.melanoidnation.org/why-do-some-blacks-tolerate-suspected-white-supremacists/ https://www.melanoidnation.org/why-do-some-blacks-tolerate-suspected-white-supremacists/#comments Thu, 10 Sep 2015 04:38:23 +0000 http://melanoidnation.org/?p=2469 It appears that the Clintons have managed a way to finagle themselves into the collective hearts of Black Society yet again, this time with 2016 presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton putting on a Blackface-like performance while making a recent appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show

Clinton, like many other suspected white supremacists from the dominant society, have sought (and often succeeded) to gain favor with Black people to meet their various agendas. People such as Dog the Bounty Hunter, George W. Bush, and Paula Deen have all  committed acts of racism/white supremacy–be it political, verbal, or social–only to turn around and butter up to Melanoid people for our forgiveness and ultimately, our support of them.

Black people’s forgiveness and eventual support of suspected white supremacists can be directly connected to the provisions of the now-infamous Willie Lynch Letter . This mindset can also be attributed to the “Stockholm Syndrome”, which is a psychological condition that causes the oppressed to harbor affinity for their captors/oppressors. This trend of behavior is a stark contrast to members of other racial/social groups who have a zero-tolerance policy for people who offend their group(s). At this point, it’s a safe bet to realize that Donald Trump won’t be getting love from Latinos anytime soon, or that Nazi apologists will be able to fall in the good graces of Jewish Americans.

So, what is it that possesses us as Black people to give the green light to those who have historically violated us? Just ask yourself that question the next time a white republican politician randomly shows up at your church skinning and grinning for your vote…the BLACK vote.

8 Ways to Identify White Supremacist Behavior https://www.melanoidnation.org/8-ways-to-identify-white-supremacist-behavior/ https://www.melanoidnation.org/8-ways-to-identify-white-supremacist-behavior/#comments Tue, 02 Jun 2015 00:06:34 +0000 http://melanoidnation.org/?p=1850 According to the great Neely Fuller Jr., we as Melanoid people must take our regular interactions with members of the dominant society very seriously. In fact, he even explains that we should assume that every member of the dominant society is a racist, especially if they display the ability to practice racism/white supremacy. For many in Black Society, however, the very topic of white supremacy can befuddle them. The very mention of  the term ‘white supremacy’ has been such a hot button issue as of late, and is starting to become used in a more contextual term as opposed to it just being limited to labeling particular white extremist terrorist groups over the years.

Because of the recent inundation of the term ‘white supremacy’ and those who live by it, it is only fitting that the good Brothers and Sisters in Black Society (who might be unclear) be informed on ways that your co-worker, neighbor, and even your significant other could possibly be a white supremacist.

1. Do people in the dominant society seem exceptionally thrilled by seeing Black people in subservient positions?

Have you ever witnessed Black people working in job sectors such as retail or the hospitality industry who have developed an almost family-like connection with the white customers and patrons who frequent the places where these Black people work? Those white customers very well could have privately celebrated the deaths of innocent Black people’s murders at the hands of police, but get all warm and tingly inside around gentlemen such as “Mr. Willie”, who makes their shopping experiences just a little more pleasant. On that note, I wonder if they’d feel the same way about “Mr. Willie” if he was the Founder & CEO of  a retail giant such as Walmart?

2. Are members of the dominant society overly nostalgic?

Listen to people–particularly the older members of the dominant society–and you’ll hear much talk of how “things were much better back in the old days” of this country. This type of talk is brought up consistently among these people, and considering our role as oppressed people in this country over the past several hundred years, we have to ask ourselves exactly WHAT do these old folks mean by the “good old days”?

3. Are your white associates uneasy around serious-minded Black men?

Are you labeled as being “surly” or “aloof” by your white colleagues in various settings when you’re the only Black man in your immediate vicinity? Black men (much like the first example) are often accepted by members of the dominant society as long as they say and do things that reinforce the preconceived stereotypes that they’ve been slapped with by white supremacists. People in the dominant society have long feared the concept of the “angry Black man” and the uncompromising masculinity that this image exudes, so they want to make sure that the Brothers remain in a happy-go-lucky state. This example rings true whenever you’re approached by members of the dominant society with questions such as “What’s wrong? Why are you so angry?”

4. Do your white friends go above and beyond to remind you of how “exceptional” you are?

This instance often involves many younger Melanoid people, especially as they advance through college and into the working world. Have you been repeatedly told about how much of a great person you are? The implications of their excessive praise reeks of a contrived effort to refrain to let you know that you’re not like the combative Blacks they saw on those reality television shows.

5. Have you encountered that member of the dominant society who regularly indulges in race baiting?

If you are familiar with any member of the dominant society who reminds you of the white female schoolteacher on Everybody Hates Chris, then you’re quite familiar with who a race baiter might be. This person has a fixation with using race as the topic for seemingly every topic that’s brought up. These individuals often happen to bring up race as a means of provoking emotion from their Black co-workers, business partners, students, and buddies.

6. Non-Blacks who openly express their exclusive sexual cravings for Blacks

This is a taboo issue in itself, because it combines the hot-button topic of race along with the risque topic of human sexuality. When a member outside of Black Society specifically proclaims their sexual desires for Melanoid men and women, this should pose as cause for concern, given the fact that “slumming” has been historically practiced by white supremacists since the days of slave owners stealing their slaves’ wives from them. So, the next time someone from the dominant society rants and raves about the sexual prowess of Black people and how they want you because of it, ask yourself this: Are they genuinely in love with your Blackness and the experience that comes with it, or are they just “in love with the cocoa” just to get their fix?

7. Do non-Blacks use spirituality to entice you to take down your guard?

Perhaps the most deceptive item on this list, white religious figures–especially those in the dominant Christian faith here in the States–have resorted to spirituality and religion countless times to convincing Melanated people that “God sees no color”, “We’re all going to the same heaven in the afterlife”, and that because of sin, millions of innocent Africans were enslaved and robbed of their culture. Watch out for these types. because buying into their rhetoric could have you confused and disappointed once they transform from Joel Osteen to this “Godly” couple, as seen in this video.

8. Do the whites apply the “Two is company, three’s a crowd” principle when dealing with Blacks?

You and your crew are peacefully conversing and minding your own business, when someone of the dominant society takes liberties to invite themselves into your group’s dialogue. Such an act may follow with the standard (yet still tactless) “What are you folks up to?” or “I just wanted to see why I wasn’t invited to this party we have over here!” Of course, this wouldn’t be an act of racism/white supremacy, would it? The suspected white supremacist in question may feel that they’re being harmless in their gesture to get “acquainted” with the group of Black folks across the street who are minding their business, but so did the authors of Louisiana’s Code Noir of 1724 (Article VIII). After all, they’re just “making sure you folks don’t cause any trouble.”

As African people in this society, our interactions with people of the dominant society is inevitable. The 8 ways listed above aim to serve as a thought-provoking heads-up on disrespectful behavior from white supremacists, and those who are suspected white supremacists.

President Barack Obama’s Twitter account was opened yesterday morning, only to be welcomed by numerous white supremacist online trolls. Check out some of the bigoted comments in the Tweets below:

In the past day since the opening of his Twitter account, the “nigger” barrage thrown his way has increased at an unsurprising rate. Although Obama’s blatant denial of Melanoid people’s issues in this country won’t go unnoticed, the white supremacists who have made their bold statements toward him lately are the same “Christian” and “wholesome” Americans who repeatedly expect Melanoid people to forget all of the wrongdoing we suffer on a daily basis under the system of racism/white supremacy.

There Could Be a Fundamental Cause For Elevated Cases of Covert White Extremism This Year https://www.melanoidnation.org/there-might-be-a-fundamental-cause-for-elevated-cases-of-covert-white-extremism-in-2015-alone/ https://www.melanoidnation.org/there-might-be-a-fundamental-cause-for-elevated-cases-of-covert-white-extremism-in-2015-alone/#respond Fri, 17 Apr 2015 08:32:02 +0000 http://melanoidnation.org/?p=1430 It has been repeatedly proven that April is a busy month for the white supremacists. There appears to be more evidence to back this fact.

According to the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), March 27th of this year marked the 20th anniversary of the white extremist website, stormfront.org.  The website serves as a rallying point for white extremists and closeted white supremacists who opt to correspond and network anonymously against the best interests of Melanoid people. Since April is already a month for elevated activity from white extremists, it is feasible to presume that this milestone year for the website would give these extremist groups the green light to “celebrate” in their own twisted way.

Since the website has been in existence for 20 years, this means that white supremacists/extremists have essentially had a place to come together and build since the early years of the general public’s access to the Internet. The website also features a radio show, where white supremacist propaganda can be spread, which often invokes members of the dominant society to commit acts such as this.

Because of the dangerous rhetoric that the website has created in order to ridicule, subjugate, and kill Melanated people of African descent, it is imperative that Melanoid people enforce a code of conduct and rely on each other for informative, unapologetic, and empowering implementation of  media which will serve as a pillar in Black Society.
