The Gulfstream jet  that Pastor Dollar and his ministry seek to purchase holds a price tag of nearly 70 million dollars. What’s interesting is that Pastor Dollar’s ministry  is asking for contributions to purchase a plane that even some of the world’s wealthiest individuals do not have access to at this time, as many have been put on a waiting list to purchase the jet. After all, recent dialogues within the Black community have also involved expressing their concerns about the misrepresentation of the Black church on behalf of the communities they ‘re rooted in. College Park, GA, the Atlanta suburb which houses Pastor Dollar’s World Changer’s Church International , also boasts a Black population of nearly eighty percent as of the 2010 Census report…yet nearly 40 percent of the overall population of that town lives below the poverty level.

 With so many systemic issues that continue to negatively affect Melanoid people–many of whom live within the proximity of his mega church–is this a bad time to ask the masses to help contribute to a cause such as this?
