More than any other time in history, there has been a recent trend of whites who have taken to the lecture circuits, airwaves, and viral videos to express their alleged disgust with the current system. Many will appear in the name of “anti-racism” or “anti-establishment” as a means of garnering the support of Blacks, which often works like a charm on the minds and hearts of Melanoid people who aren’t fully aware of how racism/white supremacy works anyway.

Although we are witnessing certain whites take stances against racism/white supremacy, none of them have ever discussed tangible–and long term–solutions for Melanoid people to utilize. They have never even mentioned the concept of Melanoid Empowerment in the slightest way, nor should we ever expect them to. Yes, it is our duty to ensure that we empower ourselves, but on the contrary, is the message of members of the dominant society who take an anti-racist stance necessarily “pro-Black”? Can we be convinced that there is authenticity in their message, just because they state what we’ve known–and directly experienced–for centuries?

While many love to reference John Brown (the abolitionist who allegedly gave his life fighting for slaves during the Antebellum Era) as hope that there are “exceptional people” in the dominant society, let’s instead reference John Henrik Clarke by acknowledging that we “have no friends”.

We’re all that we have, despite what anyone outside of Black Society attempts to convince us.
