The billboard reads, ‘It’s NOT Racist to Love (heart symbol)  Your People’. The billboard also features a link to whiteprideradio.com, which is a white Christian extremist website.

Russellville mayor Randy Horton stepped in this past weekend, stating that this billboard suggests “a racist tone to many who have seen it.” In true white supremacist fashion, the city’s white establishment maintained its code of conduct by stating that the billboard was not able to be taken down because the city claimed to have no control over the billboard, according to the mayor. This poses as a potential threat to any Melanoid people who may live in close proximity to Russellville, because of the covert white supremacist propaganda that is being displayed on this particular sign.

In retrospect, the city of Russellville’s nonchalant attitude towards this sign exposes the hypocritical nature of white supremacy as it pertains to the young Melanoid students in Georgia who recently expressed their frustrations in this country by walking on the American flag in protest of racism white supremacy. This billboard is the proverbial burning cross in the front yards of vulnerable Melanoid men, women, and children across this country.
