This is just one of the purposes of becoming a notary public professional, and in Black Society–like the rest of society–there is a big demand for these professionals to serve on many levels of government, business, law, etc. Andre Hatchett has built a notary service from the ground up which has proven to be a huge asset to countless people. But now,many of them don’t need to wait until Halloween to engage in this racist tradition.

High school students in Sullivan, Missouri were criticized after donning blackface for an intramural football game, which their principal said fueled a misunderstanding, the Riverfront Times reported.

“I thought, ‘Oh, they don’t mean anything by it. Just let it go. No one thinks anything of it,’” Sullivan High School principal Jennifer Schmidt. “I didn’t think anyone did. Evidently, someone did.”

According to Schmidt, in previous years the girls have wore combinations of the schools’ colors — black and gold. But when the senior girls arrived prior to the November 5 game, they discovered everyone had brought the same color face paint — black.

“So that’s what they wore,” says Schmidt. “There was nothing racial about it. They didn’t have any other intention other than to just try to intimidate the underclassmen.”

The fact that schools around the country are justifying white supremacist traditions such as blackface is further evidence of the need forMelanoid Empowerment.

Assistant Principal Amy Strickland retweeted an extremely racist meme of seven couples in prom clothing, all the young men are Black and all the young women are white. The caption reads: “Every white girl’s father’s worst nightmare.”

Several students at the school staged a walk out recently. One has to ask the question: if schools are allowing suspected white supremacists to oversee the education of Black students in our society,is there a wonder why so many of our Black students are failing in these institutions?

Fortunately we have a few  courageous Melanoid educators in certain school districts who are trying to step up for these children.

As of Monday, Superintendent Bernadeia Johnson and her leadership team will review every suspension of Melanoid students in the Minneapolis school district, the Star Tribune reports.
The move comes after Minneapolis’ suspension policies have been under increased scrutiny from civil rights officials inside the U.S Department of Education and also follows a moratorium on suspensions of pre-kindergartners, kindergarteners and first graders that Johnson says has reduced suspensions by 50 percent.

The uneven race suspension data is not limited to schools in Minneapolis . Nationwide, the U.S. Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights found that black boys and girls are suspended at a higher rate than any other students — 20 percent for boys and 12 percent for girls.

Some conservative publications are already charging Bernadeia Johnson for practicing reverse racism because of these new policies.
