Like many teens his age, Nkimberg is preparing for life after high school by being a model student, even serving as president of his senior class. In spite of the well-deserved accomplishments and hard work that he has put in throughout his years as a student, there’s one problem: He’s Black., and the non-Melanoid students of Lowell High School are the ones who having the problem.

Upon his nomination as class president, several of the school’s white students exchanged a slew of racist text messages, which can be read by following this link.

Understandably, Anye has been “shocked, hurt, and disappointed” by the onslaught of such hateful texts.
