I am not sure what’s going on with this story. We don’t want 15 year olds labeled and ruined for life, whatever the nature of their crimes and whatever their ethnicity. That’s the whole point of reform, right? Sure, at this point in their lives their minds are filled with reprehensible ideation. OK. All agreed. The point of carcereal reform is predicated on the idea that people can become better, think better, heal themselves.
