University of South Carolina President Harris Pastides said a student has been suspended after a photo containing a racial slur was circulated on social media Friday.
The photo allegedly shows a suspected white supremacist USC student (allegedly named Gracen Tilton ) a marker standing at a classroom white board listing reasons “Why USC WiFi blows.”
The first “reason” the female student stated was the word “Niggers”.
Many people are questioning the type of atmosphere at the University of South Carolina that would allow students to be so comfortable and blatant with their racist views,that they would write anti-Black slurs in the classrooms and post photos of it on social media.

I am originally from NYC and moved to SC for my last 2 years of high school. I attended USC of Columbia. There was always something weird in the atmosphere that never went away.

I am a graduate of University of South Carolina. I am not surprised as when I was there (1996) the ratio of whites and black, Asian, Hispanic…was very low. This could have easily happened in a class of all white students.
