CLEVELAND, OH — Open season on Melanoid children has been justified by the dominant society. The justification to murder them has presented itself yet again in the case of 12-year-old Tamir Rice.
According to the Cuyahoga County prosecutor’s office, The November 2014 shooting death of the Black child has been considered “reasonable” because of Rice’s possession of a toy gun and officers Timothy Loehmann and his partner, Frank Garmback assumption that the 12-year-old boy would be a threat to them.
On CNN.com’s coverage of the story, Subodh Chandra–an attorney for the family of the slain Tamir Rice–has stated that the Rice family has demanded that the officers be held accountable, but feels that the prosecution isn’t aggressively advocating the accountability of the two cops.
“Any presentation to a grand jury — without the prosecutor advocating for Tamir — is a charade,” Chandra said. “To get so-called experts to assist in the whitewash — when the world has the video of what happened — is all the more alarming.”

Both the cops and a guy nearby rushed in to try and render first aid! They called an ambulance! They tried to save him- and they failed.

White men can shoot up a theater full of people, or a church and cops will arrest him gently and with civility, yet a Black child playing with a toy getting shot in the stomach is reasonable? Black lives do not matter. Just because you say it matters or just because you graffiti that it matters doesn’t actually make it matter. We literally get killed or beaten over traffic violations, jay-walking, loitering or if they can’t get us for anything they arrest us for saggin pants or wearing “gang colours” which basically means in certain parts of america black men can be arrested for wearing blue or red clothing whether your in a gang or not is irrelevant to them. If Tamir was a white kid those cops on the scene would have known how to deal with the situation without having to shoot the child upon immediately exiting the vehicle. The cops second foot hadn’t even stepped out of the car before he shot that child dead like he was a wild pitbull on the loose. Wtf happened to put the gun down?!? Or Get on the ground?!? Nope all I heard was bang.

I agree with OwenK. We need to stop spending our money in those businesses that advocate to do us harm. Just go without. That includes boycotting every sports franchise as well. The power of a dollar, or of not spending that dollar is enormous when multiplied millions of times over. It can be done.
